In the warm embrace of the IfeLaw85 Alumni, best known as The Dayo Family, today stands out as a testament to joy, grace, and the ageless spirit of one of our most cherished members—Oyejoke Olanipekun, affectionately known as ‘Evergreen Joksy.’ And Undisputed ‘Sisi Egbe’ of the alumni set.
As she graces another milestone of another year on the 6th floor of life, her aura remains as vibrant and youthful as ever, casting a glow so bright, it blurs the lines between generations. Today, we place this special commemorative post on our alumni blog to celebrate the woman who embodies the essence of timelessness.
Evergreen Joksy’s journey is not just a tale of personal triumph but a narrative woven into the fabric of our collective history. In the legal profession, she carved a path of excellence, ascending to the esteemed position of President of the Customary Court of Nigeria where she retired with honors. Her tenure, marked by distinction and integrity, has been an inspiration to us all, a beacon of what it means to serve with honor and diligence.
Yet, to define Joksy solely by her professional achievements would be to view only one facet of a brilliantly cut gem. Joksy is often the life of our gatherings, a fun lover with dance moves that captivate and inspire. Her energy on the dance floor is an infectious and legendary, making her the undisputed champion dancer among our ranks, second only, perhaps, to our late, beloved Bimogha Dambo.
